Nissa Sampson, summer chamber and duet camp instructor
Nissa Sampson, cellist and chamber coach, returns in 2014 to work as an instructor for the Duet Camp and the String Quartet Chamber Camp. She is an active string teacher throughout the Chicagoland area, Her bachelor's degree in music performance (cello) is from NIU where she studied cello with Marc Johnson and Chemg-Hou Lee, violin with Mathias Tacke, and viola with Anthony Devroye. In June 2014, two of Nissa’s students perform at Carnegie Hall with the Middle School Honors Performance Series, a highly competitive orchestra of students from around the US, Canada, and several international schools. She has coached at several earlier chamber camps at NIU and taught for the community school when she was a student.
