Amanda Fawcett-LothsonAmanda Fawcett-Lothson, violin

Amanda Fawcett-Lothson (apprentice 2) graduated from Indiana University in South Bend with her bachelor's degree in violin in 2009.  She is currently finishing a master's degree in musicology from Northern Illinois University. While in Indiana, she was concertmaster of the Indiana University South Bend Philharmonic and participated in chamber and new music ensembles. She has several years experience teaching students privately and in an undergraduate music appreciation course at NIU. She has studied violin with Cyrus Forough, Stefan Hersh, and with members of the Avalon, Pacifica, and Euclid string quartets. She also has three forthcoming entries in the New Grove Dictionary of American Music (2013).
