
PRELUDE (for ages 1* - 3)
*first time 3-year olds enroll in Prelude
Sing, dance, play, and discover! Children explore and delight in the sights and sounds of our world through music listening, creative movement, songs, and lap games. The curriculum changes every semester. This class provides children with the musical knowledge they need to begin private lessons. A caregiver must accompany each child to class.

DEVELOPMENT (for ages 3* - 5)
*first time 3-year olds enroll in Prelude
Children learn about the world through music games and activities. This class takes older children to a new level as they continue to explore rhythm, dance, song, meter, and dynamics. The group explores musical instruments. A caregiver must accompany each child to class.

PIANO STARTER FOR CHILDREN (for ages 5 - 7)
Children explore the instrument in a fun, small-group setting. For parents, this is a golden opportunity to see if your child is ready for private lessons. Students learn basic notes and position of keys and play simple tunes. Most of all, they have fun with the piano and with the other students. No previous experience is necessary. The piano book for Piano Starter is available at the first lesson to purchase from the teacher. Class is limited to four students.

SQUARE ONE PIANO: GROUP BASICS CLASS (for ages 13 - adult)
Bring the joy of piano music to your life and enjoy getting to know fellow musicians in this beginning class. Learn simple tunes and basic skills such as reading music and chords. Every student plays on a keyboard in a piano classroom. Information about the book students are asked to purchase will be shared at the first meeting.

PIANO FORTE: BUILDING PIANO SKILLS (ages 13 - adult)
Build on piano skills from the past or from the Square One class. Students are encouraged to choose music to learn that they enjoy listening to, from ragtime to fold to show tunes. Interested studentscan work in pairs on four-handed pieces. Every student plays on a keyboard in a piano classroom. Information about the book students are asked to purchase will be shared at the first meeting.

GUITAR BASICS
Section 1 - (for ages 9 - 12) Section 2 - (for ages 13 - adult)
Learn the fundamentals of the guitar, including how to read music and play songs, scales, and chords. Students learn some music theory and experience various styles of guitar techniques. Students are expected to bring a guitar to class. The fee includes the cost of a book.
Summer: 6 Wednesdays, June 19 - July 31, no class July 3
