Alice Pacyga (instructor, counselor)) is an actor, improviser, and teacher. She received her MFA and BFA in acting from NIU. While at NIU, she studied the Meisner Technique with Kathryn Gately and Williamson Movement with Deborah Robertson. Alice is also a graduate of The Second City Conservatory Program and one of the founding members of the Cupid Players where she performed as an improviser in Cupid Misfires His Eros and Journey to the Center of the Journey. As an actor she has been seen at the LifeLine Theatre in A Long Way from Chicago, Stuart Little, and The Velveteen Rabbit. Alice has taught acting and improvisation for Prologue Theater, LifeLine Theater Co. Outreach, the Improv Playhouse, and for several schools in the Chicago suburbs. She also uses her performing skills as a standardized patient at the UIC Clinical Performance Center, portraying simulated medical conditions to train future doctors in communication skills. Alice can also be heard on the radio pitching sandwiches for White Hen Pantry. She has taught at the NIU Theatre Arts camps for many years.
