Billie Giese (faculty) is a practicing artist who lives and works in DeKalb and Austin, Texas. She is an associate professor of fine arts studio in the School of Art at Northern Illinois University. Her studio work includes 2D mixed works, collaborations, performance and video installations, which she exhibits in solo and group shows throughout the United States. As a child, she learned to make traditional Pysanky eggs from her grandmother and has taught Pysanky art workshops for more than 30 years.
