Alejandro Fernandez, bass

Alejandro Fernandez (apprentice 2) has a bachelor's degree in classical double bass performance from Los Andes University in Bogota, Columbia and a master’s degree in jazz studies from NIU. He is currently studying for a performer’s certificate at NIU. He performed with the Los Andes Philharmonic Orchestra and the Bogota Philharmonic Orchestra. He has been a member of the Liberace Jazztet at NIU for several years. He teaches both upright and electric bass.
