Expertise: Hipp has been a member of the USA Track and Field Cross Country Running Council since 2003 and also served on the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association's Cross Country Executive Committee as the Midwest Region Coaches RepresentatDuring his coaching career, Hipp has helped 118 student-athletes earn all-conference honors, including 31 individual conference champions. He has guided athletes to 15 NCAA national qualifying performances and eight NCAA Cross Country All-Region honors. Hipp competed collegiately at Appalachian State University where, as a member of the cross country and track and field teams, he was a member of six Southern Conference championship teams. He began his coaching career at Appalachian State in 2002, helping the men's and women's cross country programs earn Southern Conference championships before moving on to Missouri State. He received his bachelor's degree in journalism from Appalachian State in 2002 and earned his master's in physical education from Missouri State in 2004.
