Homecoming 2005

Dr. Vohra and CEET alumni

October 15, 2005

ETAS representation at Homecoming this year was outstanding. Over 500 alumni from the College of Engineering and Engineering Technology visited our extra large tent enjoying beef sandwiches and their favorite beverage. 100 of those alumni took advantage of the discounted football tickets and attended the football game which NIU defeated Eastern Michigan by a score of 24 – 8. Students were also in attendance to discuss current projects. The CEET Formula race car that was designed, built and raced by students was on display in front of our hospitality tent.

We had great door prizes this year that were donated by ETAS and CEET including a NIU stadium seat, several NIU sweatshirts, collapsible coolers/trash containers for tailgating, an NIU Logo clock, and an IPOD as the grand prize. Door prizes were awarded every 30 minutes by our entertaining emcee, ETAS Board President, John McCuistion.
