This year, an exciting project is unfolding with the help of ENVS student and former Huskie Service Scholar (HSS), Kathryn Olson.  She learned about DeKalb County Community Gardens (DCCG) and was excited to get involved.  After attending a meeting, she came up with the idea of HSS adopting a garden and maintaining it as a project focusing on civic engagement.  This past summer, Kathryn joined DCCG volunteers and helped build, fill, and plant four garden beds.
