My leadership roles at NIU are: being a McKearn Summer Fellow for Research, a Themed Learning Communities (TLC) Peer Leader, and the Treasurer of Alternative Spring Break. Extra Curricular activities I am involved in are the Undergraduate Research Apprenticeship Program, the Lambda Sigma Sophomore Honors Society, Study Abroad: Montreal, Canada, and the University Honors Committee. My campus related interests are community service and working with new students to get them more involved on campus.
An academic goal I have is to graduate by May 2015 with my Bachelor of Arts in Communications and Political Science. A career goal I have is to work in the film industry on documentaries, educational television, or become a media specialist for Non-Governmental Organizations (NGO) or Non-Profits.
Scholarships I have received include: the Kovacevich Scholarship, Student Involvement and Leadership Development Tuition Waiver, the Institutional Waiver, the Academic Finalist for Centennial Education Experience and the NIU success Grant Insitutional Waiver.
My hobbies are reading, thirft shopping, antiquing and watching horror movies.
