Brandon Townsend
General Manager

Hello I am a senior Hospitality Administration major at NIU. I will be graduating in May 2014 and am excited to be working in the hospitality industry. After graduation, I plan on working my way up to a Poker Tournament Director position at a well-known casino. I have experience working in a kitchen; I worked this past summer as a suite cook at the Kane County Cougars in Geneva, Illinois. I am very excited about my team’s brunch menu and hope you enjoy it.

I am a junior majoring in Nutrition and Dietetics here at NIU. I am from the small town of Stillman Valley and I love cooking, planning and making people happy.

Catherine Cowlin
Executive Chef

I am a senior Nutrition and Dietetics major. I am scheduled to graduate in Spring 2013 and hope to intern in Illinois after graduation. I have worked in the kitchen of a hospital, an assisted living home and three restaurants. I love brunch and am looking forward to sharing these dishes with you.

Sous Chef

I am a senior in the Nutrition and Dietetics program at NIU. I feel most comfortable in the kitchen and enjoy preparing old favorites as well as experimenting with new ideas and bold flavors. One day I hope to run my own allergy-friendly kitchen. I am excited to be part of the Midday Café staff and look forward to you being part of our midday experience.
