Hello, my name is Kristen Farley and I am currently a senior at NIU studying Hospitality Administration. With my major, I want to pursue an event planning position around the Chicago area or at Disneyworld in Florida. I am the General Manager and Marketing Manager of La Via Italiana. Come join us for a unique twist on everyone’s favorite Italian dishes offered with excellent service.

Hello, my name is Carolyn. I am a senior in the Nutrition and Dietetics program at NIU. Living a healthy lifestyle is very important to me and I encourage those closest to me to do the same. My future goals are to become an Officer in the United States Army and focus on community nutrition afterwards. In my spare time I enjoy baking, learning to play the guitar, and participating in extracurricular activities on campus. I love exploring new foods and making typical recipes healthier. We have executed an innovative and nutritious Italian menu that we hope you’ll enjoy!

Hi, my name is Chih Shie. I am a senior in Hospitality Major and the Sous Chef for La Via Italian at Ellington’s. I enjoy the culinary arts but I am hoping to go into the hotel industry. I also hope to learn a lot about the restaurant industry in this class and I try my best on our foods so you will enjoy when you come dine with us.

Hello! My name is Sarah, and I am a Hospitality Administration major at Northern Illinois University. I have a passion for people, and after finishing school I hope to become an event planner for large scale events, ranging from outdoor music festivals, to black tie fundraisers. I am the dining room manager at La Via Italiana, and I will make it my priority that all of our patrons are not only having a delicious lunch, but also a memorable experience. We hope you enjoy our menu as much as we enjoyed putting it together!
