The electrical engineering discipline involves design, development, and operation of systems that generate and use electronic signals. In the electrical engineering curriculum, undergraduate students acquire both a fundamental and practical knowledge of electronic devices and circuits, electromagnetic fields, electronic materials, digital signals and systems, computers, and many forms of electronic design.
