Coaching
for Academic Success
(Formerly known as LASSL)
What is
Coaching for Academic Success? Coaching
for Academic Success is a program of the Counseling & Student Development
Center that provides assistance with the general study skills students
need in a variety of subject areas in order to be academically successful.
Students can call 753-1206 to request a free individual study skills consultation.
During the consultation and follow-up appointments,
a trained staff member will help each student with textbook reading, time
management, test preparation, and note-taking as needed. Coaching for
Academic Success is not a subject-specific tutoring service, but we can
refer you to tutoring services at NIU if needed.
Struggling to get to your classes? Falling asleep
during your textbook reading? Overwhelmed by test preparation? Call 753-1206
and give the Coaching Program a try today!
