Advocacy Services

Advocacy Services are available to current NIU students who have been impacted by sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence and stalking. If you have experienced sexual misconduct, you have rights and options available through the NIU Title IX office.

If you need immediate advocacy support, call Safe Passage at 815-756-5228 or use the crisis text line at 815-393-1995 to speak with an advocate 24 hours a day.

If this is not an emergency and you would like to speak with the NIU confidential advisor, please call the Center for Student Assistance at 815-753-8300.

How can Advocacy Services assist you?

  • Counseling support
