Jeanne Meyer, Director

Ms. Meyer is responsible for the overall operation of the Office of Community Standards & Student Conduct. Ms. Meyer has over 8 years of experience in the field of student conduct. She is a licensed attorney in the State of Illinois, has served as a prosecutor and public defender, and former sergeant with the NIU Department of Police & Public Safety. Ms. Meyer is a certified mediator.

 

Terry Jones, Associate Director

Mr. Jones is responsible for helping adjudicating many cases that enter into the student conduct system. Mr. Jones has over 15 years of experience in the field of student conduct. Mr. Jones represents the office on various university committees in addition to his adjudication duties. Mr. Jones serves as the liaison between the Office of Community Standards & Student Conduct and many departments on campus.

Brian M. Glick, Assistant Director

Mr. Glick is primarily responsible for working with conduct cases involving recognized student organizations. Mr. Glick also helps to adjudicate individual student conduct cases as well. Mr. Glick has over 5 years of experience in the field of student conduct. Mr. Glick serves as the training officer for the Office of Community Standards & Student Conduct, as well as the system administrator for the Maxient Conduct Administrator software the office uses for case management.


Kathy Hodgkinson, Office Manager

Ms. Hodgkinson provides administrative support for the Office of Community Standards & Student Conduct. Ms. Hodgkinson has been with the Office of Community Standards & Student Conduct for over 4 years. Ms. Hodgkinson handles correspondence in regard to scheduling student conduct and appeal board hearings, as well as helping to schedule appointments with students.

Graduate Assistant

Graduate Assistants in the Office of Community Standards & Student Conduct are Masters or Doctoral students who want to learn more about the field of student conduct. Our graduate assistants are paid and function as quasi professional staff members in the Office of Community Standards & Student Conduct. Graduate Assistants in the office learn about the field of student conduct, work on special projects, and may participate in adjudicating student conduct incidents, under the supervision of the Community Standards & Student Conduct staff.

Student Conduct Interns

Interns in the Office of Community Standards & Student Conduct are Masters or Doctoral students who want to learn more about the field of student conduct. Our interns receive class credit for their work. Interns in the office learn about the field of student conduct, work on special projects, and may participate in adjudicating student conduct incidents, under the supervision of the Community Standards & Student Conduct staff.

Student Workers

Tracy Wescott

Our student workers assist the office manager in providing administrative support for the Office of Community Standards & Student Conduct. Our workers help to schedule appointments and meetings with students, and can provide case information to students with questions about their conduct case. Our student workers also serve as mail couriers delivering student conduct mail between various offices on campus and the Office of Community Standards & Student Conduct.
