Part of a public university's role is to contribute to the body of knowledge and the lives of the people in its service area. NIU takes this role very seriously. As a public university we not only fulfill these responsibilities, we also share our expertise with local and state hospitals and health organizations in order to help them create new healthcare policies and plan for the future.

With an eye to the future health of state residents, we do our part to increase the quality of and access to health and human services in Illinois.
