639. INTERNSHIP IN COMMUNICATION STUDIES (1-12)

Forgraduate students preparing to enter fields where internshipexperience is available and desirable. Study of problems related toteaching, media application, and communication systems. Experiencewill be supervised and evaluated. May be repeated to a maximum of12 semester hours. No more than 3 semester hours may be includedin the degree program. Grades awarded are S, U, or I.

691. RESEARCH IN COMMUNICATION STUDIES (3)

Focus on thenature and development of research questions and methods typicalof scholarship in such areas as communication theory, rhetoricalstudies, and media studies.

697. DIRECTED INDIVIDUAL STUDY (1-6)

Supervised readings andresearch or production of a creative project. May be repeated to amaximum of 6 semester hours, but no more than 3 semester hoursmay be applied toward the M.A.

699. MASTER’S THESIS (1-6)

May be repeated to a maximum of 6semester hours.
