Beginning Indonesian

Distance Learning Course

NORTHERN ILLINOIS UNIVERSITY is offering an interactive Distance Learning Course for Indonesian. Indonesian is the national language of Indonesia and spoken by the most Indonesian people. This course offers students the flexibility of studying the language from anywhere on the internet. All instruction will be live and conducted by an instructor, who is a native speaker of the language.

This course assumes no prior knowledge of the language. At the end of the course, students will be able to engage in everyday conversations and use the language for travel. The course will be taught in English and Indonesian. Class is limited to 15 people. This is a non-credit course, designed for students, professionals, or others interested in learning beginning Indonesian.

All students will get a module from the instructor, as well as using "The Indonesian Way" module from Hawaii University. The instructor will provide a pdf file to print and audio files to download.
