Julie Edmunds is the credit coordinator for the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences External Programming. She joined the office in 2010. She is an alumnus of Northern Illinois University where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology with University and Departmental Honors and a Master of Arts degree in Anthropology. Her research focused on Indonesia and the cultural impact of microfinance organizations on the communities they serve with a specific emphasis on women. She received the Honors Young Alumnus Award in 2009 from the Honors Program at NIU to recognize major contributions to the program while pursuing excellence in the academic sector. She was also recognized for her service to the university as a Student Affairs Extended Crisis Response Team Member following the campus tragedy on February 14, 2008. She is also very active in Mortar Board National College Senior Honor Society where she was initiated into the society in 2006 and where she now acts as a section coordinator for the Illinois chapters of Mortar Board.
