West Lakes - East Lakes joint meeting of the American Association fo Geographers

The conference will be held in the Holmes Student Center (HSC) at Northern Illinois University, DeKalb, Illinois. See the web for directions and maps to DeKalb and the Northern Illinois University campus.

The Northern Illinois University - DeKalb campus is located 65 miles west of downtown Chicago and 45 miles southeast of Rockford. Chicago O'Hare International Airport and Chicago Midway International Airport are the most common airport access points for DeKalb. Direct service to NIU - DeKalb campus is not readily available. 

There are also a number of limousine services available, but they must be arranged in advanced and paid for by the conference participant. Parking at NIU

Parking is available in the Vistor's Parking Lot which is located within walking distance of the Holmes Student Center (see NIU map below). Parking in the Vistor's Parking Lot is $5 per entry fee Monday - Friday and free Saturday and Sunday. Parking is free for guests at the hotel, but you must check-in first and receive your parking permit from the hotel.

Free Wireless internet is available on the first and second floor of the Holmes Student Center.
