The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences hosts five or more academic or professional conferences each year. We are also happy to offer conference planning services for all LA&S departments and their graduate students.

The “New Ideas” series for middle school and high school teachers, now in its 26th year at Northern, brings educators together to learn about successful teaching methods and to hear about the university’s latest research in the humanities, social studies, and sciences. Attending teachers earn CPDU and network with colleagues from throughout the region.
