
Campers explore electronics, nanoscience, and alternative energy sources. Activities include learning about diodes, transistors and circuits to complete an electronics project, harnessing solar energy to power a fuel-cell car and roast marshmallows, solving mysteries, tie-dying, and more.

Sci-camp Director
Pati Sievert, Science Camp Director for the 7th year, is NIU’s STEM Coordinator, holds a Master’s Degree in Physics Education, and has many years of experience with young people in schools, camps, outreach programming, and as a high school Physics teacher.
