Roller Coasters to Cotton Candy

Campers entering grades 5-8

Science Camp

Early bird registration ends June 1, 2012!

Campers will design various amusement park activities such as roller coasters, learn how engineers optimize traffic flow, investigate food safety, and concoct their own treats. Campers experience living in the residence hall and participate in fun evening activities including a trip to the Davis Hall Observatory and bowling in the Huskie Den.

Sci-camp Director
Pati Sievert, Science Camp Director for the 9th year, is NIU’s STEM Coordinator, holds a Master’s Degree in Physics Education, and has many years of experience with young people in schools, camps, outreach programming, and as a high school Physics teacher.

Summer Camp Fees: Residential campers $515 ($545 after June 1, 2012); returning LA&S Academic Summer campers, multiple campers from the same household, or NIU employees are eligible for an additional $25 discount on request.
