Sci-Camp Exploring Art 2012

Early bird registration ends June 1, 2012!

Create, make, innovate! Campers can take their art work to the next level by investigating the science behind making cool art. Create wind-powered kinetic sculptures; use polarized light to create paintings with tape; animate art digitally; color the world with laser spiro-graphs; explore the chemistry of color through tie-dye; and learn the secrets of making cool pop-up cards.

Both Exploring camps will live on the same residence hall floor, eat meals together, and enjoy many of the same evening activities, including a trip to the Davis Hall Observatory and bowling in the Huskie Den.

Sci-camp Director
Pati Sievert, Science Camp Director for the 9th year, is the STEM Outreach Coordinator, holds a Master’s Degree in Physics Education, and has many years of experience with young people in schools, camps, outreach programming, and as a high school Physics teacher.

Summer Camp Fees: Residential campers $515 ($545 after June 1, 2012); returning LA&S Academic Summer campers, multiple campers from the same household, or NIU employees are eligible for an additional $25 discount on request.
