NIU Muggle Academy:
An Interdisciplinary Harry Potter Camp
July 13 – 18, 2008

For some, Harry Potter is just a stack of books on a shelf; for others, it is a rich source for understanding culture, how the world works, and is a magical story dealing with issues that were important in the past, are important today, and will continue to be important in the future. This camp provides an in-depth experience for those who want to learn more about regular school subjects through the magical lens of the Harry Potter® series. While learning, you will work with experienced teachers and meet peers from other schools who share a passion for the Harry Potter® series. Modern technology and research materials will be used to facilitate the instruction and learning. Students will be given a chance to try out their newly acquired ideas in a fun and educational way.
