The college is once again pleased to invite students and faculty to participate in a college-wide Undergraduate Research Apprenticeship Program (URAP) for the Fall 2014 and/or Spring 2015 semesters.
Through this program, faculty engage undergraduates in their research through one-to-one mentorships that stimulate student interest in pursuing graduate education.
The college and university have a strong interest in engaged learning activities. Undergraduate participation in research is one of the central elements of engaged learning. This program is designed to encourage a broader involvement of students and faculty not only within a given major, but also, where appropriate, to encourage and support mentorships that involve faculty members with qualified, highly motivated students outside the major.
