  1. Q) What is an internship?  
    A) An internship is a paid or unpaid position at a company or organization through which the intern learns skills valuable to a particular career path and builds the strength of a resume.

  3. Q) Are internships paid?  
    A) Some are, some aren't.  In general, it's a bout half and half, with many unpaid internships requiring the student to receive academic credit. 

  4. Q) When can I complete an internship?  
    A) Most students complete internships any time from the summer before their Junior year to the summer after their Senior year.  An internship can be completed during any semester, fall, spring, or summer. 

  5. Q) If I do an internship for credit, do I still have to pay for the credit hours?  
    A) Yes.  Standard tuition and fees apply.

  6. Q) Can I get academic credit for an internship after I complete it?  
    A) No.  Specific department guidelines vary, but you must complete the necessary forms through an internship coordinator before the add/drop deadline of the semester in which you wish to receive credit.
