Study abroad opportunities abound for CHHS students

Indonesia

Dr. Tomoyuki Shibata, Asst. Prof in Nursing and Health Studies, will be taking another group of students to Indonesia. This “Study Abroad in Indonesia” trip will continue to promote the United Nation’s Millennium Development Goals, focusing especially on improving children’s health.  The program abroad will take place June 1 – 23, 2012. Ireland

Dr. Jeannette Rossetti and Dr. Kathleen Musker, Nursing and Health Studies, will be taking another group of NIU students to Ireland. During the “Exploring Ireland’s Community and Mental Health Services” trip, participating students will be provided with the opportunity to explore a variety of mental health and community psychiatric health care services in Ireland. Belize

Assoc. Prof. Jeanne Isabel, Allied Health and Communicative Disorders, and NIU students will be taking another trip to Belize. Dr. Isabel’s “Health Students in Belize” will give NIU students an opportunity to familiarize themselves with the health care system and health issues related to a tropical climate.
