Spring 2013 Chemistry Demonstrations

When Chemistry Goes BOOM!

About the Night

Come join the NIU Chem Club for their annual Spring Chem Demo Night: When Chemistry Goes BOOM! The night will feature all the best parts of chemistry: explosions, fire, and bright, colorful reactions. The event will start promptly at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, April 5th, in Faraday Hall room 143 (Lecture Hall).  Signs will be around the building indicating where to go.  Parking will be available in the NIU Parking Deck along the west side of Normal Road, about one block north of Lincoln Highway (Route 38).  After the event, the Chem Club will be making Liquid Nitrogen ice cream for everyone to enjoy and will be giving out a cool take home science gift.

Special Considerations

This event will include loud bangs, bright flashes of light, and intermittent periods of low light and/or darkness.
