Outreach
NIU's Engineering Outreach offers a variety of services, including:
- Professional development including short courses, workshops, seminars and select conferences for engineers and technical professionals, including our alumni;
- Safety, health, preparedness, and environmental topic selections from our professional development offerings and also from the many offerings of the National Safety Education Center;
- Credit course offerings that include degree completion programs from the Department of Technology, graduate certificate programs, an off-campus Master of Science degree in Industrial Technology, and interactive television and on-line selections;
- Corporate training and project assistance upon request, and;
- Special events such as the Senior Design Presentation Day offered fall and spring semester.
- Online courses, including semester long credit courses, or short workshops from engineering e-campus.
