Summer School-Age Program

Summer 2013: June 17th - August 9th

student playing outsideNorthern Illinois University Campus Child Care offers school-age care (6-8 years, completed kindergarten through second grade) during the eight week summer semester.

Fun activities, geared for school-age children, will be offered such as cooking, gardening, environmental art, outdoor games and activities, a variety of hands-on experiences, and they will also take advantage of on-campus excursions and activities.

  • Half-day and full-day child care will be available.
  • The center hours are 7:15 a.m. – 5:45 p.m. 
  • The classroom is staffed with two teachers and part-time student workers.
  • The largest group size is 24 children with three staff.

If you are interested in enrolling your child(ren), please see our enrollment  information to see when the application will be posted online. Be sure to mark your calendar to return on that date to get the application and then return it right away. 

  • Applications are accepted on a first come, first served basis. 
  • Once you submit your application it will be three weeks before we can let you know for sure if space is available.
