Daniel Mascote is the Information Technology and Social Media Intern of Career Services. Mr. Mascote's primary job responsibility is to maintain and repair information technology components within the department and to promote and advertise career fair events through social media, as well as on campus advertising. Prior to working in Career Services, Mascote worked for College of Lake County, Student Life Office, and was the Intern for Programming Board.
Mascote’s expected graduation date is December 2014, with a degree in organizational corporate communication. He plans on graduating with upper division, university honors program. Upon completion, Mascote will have strong written and oral communication skills that are essential to success in community and college setting, public speaking, advertising, and corporate advocacy in business. Mascote advocates Career Services by involving himself on campus organizations and campaigning for student career success. He lets other students know about the various resources Career Services has to offer NIU students. In the future Mascote plans on attending graduate school at NIU, to one day work in higher education.
