Step Your Way to 10k

At Campus Recreation, we’re all about encouraging healthy, active lifestyles. This year, we challenge faculty and staff to take 30 minutes out of their day to add steps to their pedometer.

Why Walk?

The American College of Sports Medicine recommends healthy adults fit in about 10,000 steps per day. Mayo Clinic states that walking can help reduce your risk of coronary heart disease, diabetes, and high blood pressure. It also aids in weight management, bone strengthening, improved balance, and coordination, and have an overall positive attitude.
