Graduate-level dietetic interns provide one-on-one consultations and nutrition education for all campus recreation nutrition and nutrition-related programs. Interns are under the supervision of a Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist. Dietetic interns complete 1200 hours of internship experience in food service, clinical, and community practice. Campus Recreation provides 60 hours towards the completion of each intern’s community site rotation. Upon completion of the total internship experience, interns are eligible to sit for the Registered Dietitians Examination.
Meg Burnham, MS, RDN, CSSD, LDN
Meg is a Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist (RDN) and licensed in the State of Illinois (LDN). She earned her Master Degree in Nutrition and Dietetics at NIU and has been working in the field of weight management, sports nutrition, and wellness since 2006. Meg earned her certificate of training in Adult Weight Management and is a Board Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics (CSSD) through the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. In her spare time, Meg enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband, son and family dog.
