At NIU, students can access more than 1,500 computers for research, instruction and individual use in academic departments, classrooms and student computing labs.

Many platforms are represented, including Windows, Macintosh, NetWare, OS/390, Linux, and Unix.

The Information Technology Services (ITS) and ResTech helpdesks provide end-user support for many technologies.
