The Campus Activities Board welcomes you to the Huskie Community!
As you embark upon this upcoming 2009-2010 school year as an incoming freshman, transfer, or returning student we would like to let you know that the Campus Activities Board is here to serve you. Our mission is to provide the Northern Illinois University community with cultural, social, educational and entertainment programs that are responsive to the diverse needs of the university community. Every decision that we make as an organization is made in the best interest of helping you adjust to our campus no matter what role you play in the NIU community.
CAB is one of many available organizations on campus that are here to help build you into the next leader of this campus. We are the largest student organization on campus with a membership of over 100 + students and we are steady growing by the day. We have set a membership goal of over 400 + students, a goal that has yet to be attained on this campus and possibly across the nation for an student organization.
CAB is responsible for traditional events such as homecoming week, welcome days program, and Fall Fest. Fall Fest is a new weeklong event that is quickly gaining popularity and excitement around the campus since its start in the Fall 2008 semester. We pride ourselves on bringing the most diverse events to NIU. We cannot make any of these wonderful things happen, without YOU! So think about joining CAB as it would be one of the best experiences in your tenure here at NIU.
