What are your goals for CAB?

My goals are as follows:

  • create a comprehensive plan to address the marketing crisis
  • formulate a revision for the current Constitution & Bylaws
  • implement a plan to include diverse programs for students

What Qualifications do you have to run for the position you desire?

I am a qualified leader because with this organization I have seen both good and not so good in which can be improved or enhanced. My leadership skills consist of me being able to engage in effective communication, decision making unbiasly, and accepting feedback.

Where do you hope to see CAB after you have completed your term?

I hope to see CAB as the premier programming board on campus. Under my administration, I intend on increasing the overall budget, set processes for the next administration to function more smoothly, revise a more comprehensive constitution that is clear and concise, and enhance on providing more traditions here at NIU from events.

What are your goals for the Campus Activities Board?

  • Focus on Marketing
  • Get students/student organizations involved
  • Diversify the events held on Campus by CAB
  • Plan ahead and host quality entertainers/educators
  • Create a strong executive/general board

What qualifications do you have to run for the position you desire?

  • AVP for Unity & Diversity 2012-2013
  • President - Muslim Students Association 2012-2013

I have been on a general board of a student organization as well as the executive board of another. I realize what the needs are for both parties in order to work together effectively.

Where do you see CAB after you have completed your term?

  • I hope to see more student involvement, a strong and passionate committee membership and a recognition of CAB on campus.
  • I hope to see an eagerness on campus to be a part of CAB.

What are your goals for the Campus Activities Board?

  • Get CAB more organized
  • Create a more diverse community
  • Create a revised constitution for CAB

What qualifications do you have to run for the position you desire?

  • Event planning skills
  • Working with others

Where do you hope to see CAB after you have completed your term?

  • I hope to get CAB back to the way it use to be as far as a diverse org.
  • I also hope to see CAB with a newly revised constitution as well.

What are your goals for CAB?

  • Creating a strong executive board
  • Better marketing strategies
  • Making CAB a brand
  • More diverse events
  • Building strong relationships with student orgs.
  • Cheaper but quality programs

What qualifications do you have to run for the position you desire?

Currently, I am an AVP of Special Events, as well as holding an event coordinator position with E.B.O.N.Y. Women. My programming knowledge is extensive.

Where do you hope to see CAB after you have completed your term?

Well known throughout the campus because alot of students are still unaware of what CAB is exactly. I would also like for CAB to be considered a brand and known for having one of the best programming boards creating endless possibilities for students.

What are your goals for the Campus Activities Board

Allocate CAB's funds efficiently and effectively that will give this organization the best chance achieving the reputations that CAB deserves.

What qualifications do you have to run for the position you desire?

A finanical and sales background that gives me the tools to not only manage CABs funds, but leverage them to get the most value/dollar.

Where do you hope to see CAB after you have completed your term?

An organization that was able to reach a large diversity of NIU students.  Giving students activities that appeal to a large number of students will give CAB a better brand and give CAB the launching point it needs to grow further in the future.

What are your goals for the Campus Activities Board?

To continue the financial health of CAB.

What qualifications do you have to run for the position you desire?

I am Treasurer of Sigma Nu, I was a part of FMA and I am a Finance Major.

Where do you hope to see CAB after you have completed your term?

Financially stable and sound.

 

James Alford Candidate VP Finance

What are your goals for the Campus Activities Board?

  • Make CAB office welcoming for all students
  • Create monthly reports on finances
  • Train members of finance committee on budgets and terminology used.
  • Develop a finance policy.

What qualifications do you have to run for the position you desire?

Currently serve as the treasurer of the Black Student Union. I serve as a member of the SA Finance Committee and currently I have served as the secretary of the RHA Finance Committee.

Where do you hope to see CAB after you have completed your term?

After my term in CAB I hope to see more students stopping by the office and see members have a better understanding of budgets and finance terminology.
