Week of October 19-23, 2009 - Priority Registration Date of November 2, 2009 should be listed on your MyNIU if you are a registered CAAR student. Check your MyNIU for the appointment date. If, by October 23, 2009 you do not see November 2, 2009 as your appointment date and you are a CAAR student, contact the CAAR office so we can follow up with the Registration Office.
November 2, 2009 - Register for Spring 2010 classes for CAAR students. Spring 2010 Schedule of Classes available on MyNIU.
Please see your academic advisor, NOW, so you can be ready to register on November 2, 2009.
1. Be sure you have no encumberances on your account. You can check on MyNIU for encumberances. An encumberance will prohibit you from registering for classes. CAAR can not remove encumberances from your account. You will need to speak with the department listed on your encumberance in order to remove that from your account and be able to register. This can take some time, so it is important you take care of your encumberance now, before registration.
2. If you need assistance with registration, please call CAAR to make an appointment with a student worker or a CAAR coordinator. Walk-ins will be assisted if time and personnel permit.
3. Deaf/Hard of Hearing Students - be sure to turn your schedule in to Jenifer, jmontag@niu.edu as soon as you register. Any delay in providing CAAR with your current (or updated if you make any changes) schedule may delay the provision of CART or interpreters for your classes. We can not provide interpreters or CART if we do not know what classes you are taking.
NOTE: Priority registration means that you can begin registering earlier than your standard time. It does not mean that you are guaranteed a class if you register later.
