Welcome to NIU to our newest members to the Huskie Family and welcome back to our returning Huskie Family members!
Be sure to complete the following as school starts:
1. Complete the intake with your coordinator if you have not already done so to determine your accommodation eligibility list.
2. Complete a CAAR New Student Orientation if you did not complete one on 8/6/09; 8/8/09; or 8/26/09. Next New Student Orientation is 9/3/09 at 4:00 p.m. at CAAR. RSVP at 753-1303 to attend.
3. Talk with your instructors about your accommodation needs. Talking with Instructors
4. Request letters of accommodation for your faculty from CAAR. The form can be found under the tab FORMS on the CAAR website. Accommodation Letter Request Form
5. Turn in your ETEXT accommodation requests, if you are eligible for it. Alternative Media Request Form
6. Complete and return the Yellow Test Accommodation Forms for your classes this semester, if you are eligible for test accommodations. Exam Accommodations Webpage
7. Make an appointment with your coordinator if you have any questions, concerns, or changes in your condition or accommodation needs. Call the secretary at 815-753-1303 to make the appointment. Staff Contact List
