Guidelines for Documentation

Students requesting academic accommodations from the Center for Access-Ability Resources  at Northern Illinois University typically are required to submit documentation that verifies  his or her disability. The nature of the documentation varies depending on the disability. The following guidelines are provided as suggestions for students, when gathering documentation. There may be unique situations that impact a student's ability to provide in depth documentation. Those situations should be shared during the informational interview with the Coordinator and the student.
