Undergraduate Tuition and Fees

In-State

Truth-In-Tuition is for Illinois residents enrolling for the first time at NIU as degree-seeking undergraduates. Beginning with Fall 2004 semester, or any semester thereafter, students will be charged a fixed tuition rate for four continuous years beginning with their initial enrollment.

To determine your tuition rate, select the academic year of your initial enrollment as an in-state, degree-seeking student at NIU:

Prior to Fall 2004
Fall 2004/Spring 2005
Fall 2005/Spring 2006
Fall 2006/Spring 2007
Fall 2007/Spring 2008 (approved June 21, 2007)

Out-of-State

Prior to Fall 2004 (students initially enrolled and classified as degree-seeking)
Current Out-of-State Rate (students enrolled Fall 2004 and after)
