Shan wooden earth touching image on very high waisted tiered base, black lacquered and gilded with touches of red lacquer, crowned and decorated. Inscription on back in red lacquer (ear plugs present). Gold image with touches of red lacquer. Seated in 'vajraparyanka,' with dexter leg crossed over sinister and both soles facing upwards. In 'bhumisparsa mudra' Fingers elongated and of equal length. Dexter hand rests on three flaps over the shin. Sinister hand rests flat on lap. Feet large and flat and toes are equal in length. Crown with four tiers and bulb-like finial. Ear decorations missing but plain cylindrical earplugs present. Earlobes are long, curving outward resting on the shoulders. Red lips protrude. Prominent nose. Facial features are close together. Rounded face widens at the top. Three wrinkles on the neck. Elaborate necklace and bracelets. Square shoulders. Elaborate folds of robe extending from hand over legs onto the front of the base. Very high multi-tiered base with horizontal bands of semi-circle impressions. Central waist left plain. Base not cut completely from background~ as if in high relief. Inscription on back in red lacquer. Base gently tilted up in back.
