| Small black and gold lacquered pumpkin-shaped (octagonal) container. Inside: Black glossy lacquered surface. Lower Part (outside): Mostly black containing a double ring frieze with a simple hook-like foliage (chu-pan) design. Upper part (outside): Mostly glossy black, it contains 3 gold chinte. The center contains a gilded handle with diamond shaped patterns, surrounded with the same pattern found in the lower part of the piece. Note: Inside the upper part there is an inscribed No. 21 in the black lacquer. |
