Customizing Your Course

Users have a variety of ways to customize the look and feel of Blackboard. These customizations will determine what information will appear within Blackboard and are dependent upon each user’s preferences.

After logging into Blackboard, the landing page is the Blackboard Gateway where users have access to all of their enrolled courses.  In addition, the Gateway is comprised of other modules that gather information about all of a user’s active classes and are driven by Blackboard’s Notification System.   These modules can be made visible or hidden by clicking the Add Module link. 

Clicking the Personalize Page link, will allow a user to choose from a variety of color themes.  Once the desired modules have been selected, a user can re-order the modules by a simple “drag-and-drop” technique (click and hold the left mouse button, drag to a new location, and release the mouse).
