Kara Haller, Graduate Assistant

Kara Haller

Kara Haller has been the office manager since 2007. She now serves as
graduate assistant/office manager for the marching band. Kara graduated
from NIU in 2008 with a bachelors of arts degree in geography, a minor
in urban studies and a GIS certificate.

Kara is an alum of the huskie marching band, playing clarinet in both
marching and pep bands from 2002-2007. She served as clarinet UG for 3
years and received the “Marching Huskie of the Year” award in 2007.
She has worked as a band clerk from 2004-2007. During her tenure at NIU,
she was also a member of Kappa Kappa Psi Honorary Band Fraternity and
Sigma Alpha Iota Women’s Music Fraternity. She still enjoys playing
with the pep band whenever possible!

In addition to serving as office manager, Kara is currently pursuing
her masters degree in urban geography with a focus on urban planning.
One day she hopes to find a career in city planning. Kara is a native of
Joliet, IL.
