Welcome to Art Express
Art Express is a regular program of NIU’s Community School of the Arts. This program will bring creative experiences and a lot of fun to your children. Our art teachers are Art Education majors who are well prepared through a complete curriculum unit devoted to this program. They are really looking forward to experiencing this real-life teaching atmosphere.

Saturday Art Classes for Children: Ages 4-12, 5 sessions on Saturdays 1:00 – 3:00 p.m.
The NIU School of Art provides creative art activities that stretch the imagination and open up new worlds. Students are assigned to classes by age and each class is limited to 20 children. Different themes and media make the experience fresh every time! Parents and children take artwork home at the end of the final show. Student teachers are art education majors who are supervised by NIU School of Art faculty.
Because children may get messy in our classes, please send children to class in old clothes or with “art shirts” to wear.
