The Sculpture Program is centered in a combined exploration of materials, techniques, and concepts. The faculty presents a comprehensive curricular program to the student that incorporates and crosses the traditional boundaries of material considerations with the student’s personal vision. Sculpture students are able to advantage a program that encourages interdisciplinary activity and the attitudes of contemporary art.
The sculpture facility offers its advanced and graduate students private studios and equipment for: mixed medium construction, wood fabrication, steel/metal welding and fabrication, fiberglass construction, and casting equipment for all foundry metals (aluminum, bronze and iron).
Graduates of the sculpture program have been admitted to notable graduate programs and have also found employment in the areas of college-level teaching, museum studies, presentation design and fabrication, professional studio artist and architectural restoration.
