Your gifts help us become better at what we do...

Small sums and large sums are equally helpful. $25 - $50 enables us to send out a flyer to announce our programs to schools and students on campus. Or it enables us to purchase acid free tissue to store artifacts. $100 might pay for the printing of activity sheets for student groups. $500 might pay for a student to help with a special cataloguing project. These are examples of some of the many ways your contribution makes a difference to our Museum.

Volunteer services

We welcome volunteers because they help us with projects we might not be able to get to otherwise. Volunteers may come on a regular basis once a week or once a month. Some examples of volunteer activities are the following: Three retired women help with cataloguing textiles; NIU student volunteers help guide large groups of school children through the museum.  Please give us a call if you are interested in giving of your time. 815-753-0230
