Kathryn DeWitt
B.A. Anthropology, 2010 - Illinois State University
Academic Biography:
Q. Where is your study area? Archaeology
Q. Why did you choose NIU? I chose NIU because of the high praise it was given by two trusted professors during my undergraduate tenure, the balanced approach it takes towards anthropology, and the generous financial aid offered by the school.
Q. Who is your advisor and why did you choose them? My advisor is Dr. Mehrer, due to his being recommended as an archaeological advisor by Dr. Thu and other students who have been here longer than I have.
Q. What advice would you like to share with incoming students? My advice for incoming students: If you feel like the most incompetent person in the room, look around. Odds are you aren't the only one. Even if you are, tell people you're there as comic relief.
